Summer’s Bounty

I love living close to home! And by “close” I mean within a day’s drive. Compared to South Carolina (college) and China (post-college), New York is practically next door to my family. It’s nice to be able to visit on a whim should I feel like it. (more…)

Around this time last year, I was making plans to leave New York. I’d survived my year in the Big Apple and was over it. The tourists. The noise. The dirty subways. I had had enough and was ready to move on to bigger (er…smaller…) and better things.

God, however, had other plans. Through a series of events that were nothing short of providential, I found myself moving to a beautiful apartment in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in all of New York City: Park Slope, Brooklyn.

There are places you live and there are places you call home.

Brooklyn falls into the later category.
