2013

Another year has come and gone. I suppose I should feel nostalgic or something like that, but that’s just not me. Still, a lot has happened in the past year that is worth taking note of, in no particular order.

  • I started this blog!
  • I cut off all my hair (and am now in the process of growing it out because that is what I do).
  • I ran my first race. A half-marathon. Go big or go home, right?
  • I road-tripped with my grandparents from FL to GA for our epic family reunion.
  • I vacationed in Iceland.
  • I cleaned up my diet by eliminating (most) processed foods. Wow! Has it really only been a year since I made the change? Crazy.
  • I caved and bought Mabel the Vitamix. And then I talked a friend into buying one, too, so now Mabel has a friend in DC named Marcel.
  • I didn’t move. This may seem like an odd “event” to take stock of, but in my world, it’s big. I’ve been moving at least once a year since 2008. (If you count moving in and out of college ever fall/spring, it’s every year since 2004.) South Carolina. Delaware. China. Delaware. New York. Brooklyn. It’s been kind of nice to stay put for 12 consecutive months.
