It’s time for another…

…name that product!

For the last one, the only person to get the answer right was my mother and the whole thing was fishy, to say the least. She texted me the answer rather than leaving her guess as a comment on Facebook or here on the blog. And she texted me the minute after I posted the answer.

She claims she hadn’t seen the answer post when she sent the text.

Knowing my mother and her technological limitations, I’m inclined to believe her. Knowing my family’s propensity to cheat and twist rules (it’s in our DNA), I’m skeptical. If you know my grandmother, you understand my hesitation to declare my mom the winner.

Let’s just call it a wash and move on to the next? Here it is. What product contains the following ingredients:

Whole grain wheat flour, unbleached enriched flour (wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate {vitamin b1}, riboflavin {vitamin b2}, folic acid), sugar, soybean oil, cornstarch, malt syrup (from barley and corn), salt, invert sugar, leavening (calcium phosphate and/or baking soda), monoglycerides, whole grain barley flakes, whole grain millet, whole grain rye, whole grain triticale, vegetable color (annatto extract, turmeric oleoresin).

    I have become an avid label reader since having three grandchildren with food allegeries/intolerances. Trying to find packaged foods without eggs, nuts and soy is almost impossible. So, I do it myself. The results are tastier, and more nutritional! Gotta to love the Oatmeal Jam squares.
